Humidity is one of the most widely measured parameters, and a range of different measurement principles and calibration methods are used.

Medico Support provides accredited humidity calibration and helps identify the solution that best matches the equipment, measurement range and customer requirements.

Measurement principles and calibration methods

We work with methods and sensor types including:

Humidity standards Saturated and unsaturated humidity standards.
Chilled-mirror hygrometers Calibration of instruments based on dew-point measurement.
Capacitive sensors Calibration of sensors used to measure relative humidity.

The different measurement principles involve different requirements for accuracy, hysteresis and stabilisation time. We therefore help our customers identify the appropriate calibration solution.

On-site and laboratory calibration

Humidity sensors can be calibrated at the customer’s premises or in our laboratories.

On-site calibration

Calibration can be performed in a climate chamber or using humidity standards directly at the customer’s premises.

Laboratory calibration

In our laboratories, calibration can be performed using humidity standards, in a climate chamber or in our climate cabinet.

Accredited measurement ranges

We provide accredited humidity calibration within the following measurement ranges:

0.5–95% RH Unsaturated humidity standards Laboratory and on-site
5–98% RH Climate chamber at 0–50°C Laboratory and on-site
10–98% RH Climate cabinet at 10–90°C Laboratory calibration

Experience and technical guidance

Calibrations are performed by experienced specialists who remain up to date with the latest knowledge and applicable requirements.

We also provide technical guidance in connection with the selection and purchase of new measurement equipment.
